Digitally printed tiles use new technology that makes it easy. Anyone can create tiles and enjoy the uniqueness of a remarkable design trend. All you need to do is send or upload a photo of what you would like as a picture or design on your tiles. This is then printed directly on the tiles. There is also a distinction between digital printing and surface UV cheap printing. In digital printing, the image is printed on the tile’s surface and fired in the kiln. This creates a much longer lasting effect and is also waterproof. The ability to stretch or adjust the design to meet the required size of the finished product is a unique feature. We DO NOT offer UV printing as it is not durable enough to make tiles – it is easy to scratch, and colours fade.
The image size can be set to fit a small bath area or expanded on a grand scale, such as a wall at a swimming pool or recreational area.

We print your image as a ceramic decal, a transfer made with real ceramic pigments rather than ink. Each decal is applied to the tile by hand in our Somerset workshop, then kiln fired at 900°C. The firing fuses the design into the glaze itself. It will not fade, scratch off or wash away. Vinyl stickers and sublimation coatings sit on the surface and peel. A fired decal is part of the tile.
The process, start to finish:
Printed tiles start at £3.87 per tile for 10×10cm porcelain, up to £240 per tile for 60×60cm. The printing is included in the price. By area, prices start from £352.50 per square metre + VAT.
There are no artwork fees for print ready images. A £36 setup fee applies only to orders under £120. Samples cost £10, refunded against your order. The full price list for every size is on our order tiles page.
Anything you can supply as an image. Family photos, watercolours, children’s drawings, company logos, historic maps, William Morris patterns, your own artwork. If the resolution suits the tile size, it will print. We check every image before we quote and tell you if it will not work.
We print onto gloss or satin matt ceramic and porcelain, in sizes from 10×10cm to 60×60cm. Because the design is fired into the glaze, printed tiles work on walls, floors, splashbacks and swimming pools, indoors and out. The finish is frost proof and UV stable.
